Annet Mahendru

Mahendru is an Afghani woman born to a Russian father and an Hindu Indian mother. She is fluent with German Russian and English and additionally speaks French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru, born in India, to an Indian father and a Russian father and an Indian mother, speaks fluently with both of the languages. An improvised performance she choreographed at the age of 11 that aired on German television, transformed her into the Russian dancer, who became a snow maiden. After graduating at New York's high school, she received her bachelor's in English degree from St. John's University. In college, she attended acting classes in the HB Studio but then quit to pursue improvisation classes at The Groundlings School taking on several comedy projects thereafter. Her family was brought up within Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru, as well as an Russian-speaking mother Olga. She moved into East Meadow New York, together with her father after she was 13 years old. She is a star with Matthew Rhys and Keri Russel on FX's The Americans. In FX's The Americans as Nina Sergeevna Krilova is perhaps her most memorable television performance. She has had a recurring appearance on Fox's The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
